The Real ART of Running

Snow Changes Everything

There are some running routes that I know by heart. I run them many times a week so I know the turns, the inclines, and the potholes. But when the first snowfall of the season comes, all those routes look different. It’s almost like exploring a new part of town. Of course, the views also changed weeks ago when the leaves began to fall, but now that the ground is covered in white it’s a total new look.

Getting out to run early in the morning after a light snowfall before the roads and trails have had a lot of traffic is a great feeling. When there are no footprints and it’s so quiet you can hear the snow crunch and squeak under your shoes you feel like you’re in your own world. Running has many benefits, and running in each of the seasons lets you enjoy all of them.
