The Real ART of Running

Early Morning Moon

There is something really great about running early in the morning before most people are out and about. Not only do I get to enjoy the quiet and stillness but I often get to notice views that you don’t see during the busyness of the day. Last week as I ran through my neighborhood in Pleasant Ridge I noticed the moon low and bright in the sky. I think this was related to the March Equinox and the start of Spring. As the moon hung over the homes with inside lights just starting to turn on, I felt good knowing I was out and moving, breathing cool air, building endurance but still relaxing as other people woke up to start their day. As I ran up and down the side streets I kept one eye on the moon and thanked God for His Creation.
