Adjust For The Humidity, But Don’t Use It As An Excuse
Judging from the national weather maps, much of the country has the same hot and humid weather we have in Michigan right now. Even at 6:30AM I’m dripping with sweat after my first mile. When it’s that humid I do adjust my pace a little especially on my speedwork. But I’m trying not to use it as an excuse. Yes it’s hot, yes it’s humid, but you still need to train. Don’t sit and whine about it. Just think about those February mornings and the 15 degree days you ran in. They’ll be here before you know it. So, be smart but keep running. Take whatever weather you get. You’re a Runner!
