The Stick is Simple and Effective
If you have sore calf muscles after a long run or get “Charlie horses” in your calf you need to get “The Stick. It is one of the simplest but most effective pieces of exercise equipment I’ve ever used. It’s simply a rod with handles on each end and several smooth spindles in the middle that roll over the muscle. You apply the right amount of pressure needed depending on the tightness of the muscle. It’s that easy. It’s great for your calf, hamstring, or thigh. I find a day or two after a long run my calf needs to be rolled to keep from tightening up. An effective routine would be to simply use The Stick each morning and night for a few minutes to keep the muscles stretched. If you haven’t tried it you should. And it’s a lot cheaper that massage therapy.
