The Real ART of Running

Running with Dolphins

Last week I had one of the most unusual experiences while running that I can remember.  About half-way through an easy five-mile run along the harbor in St. Petersburg, FL I looked out into the bay and saw a dolphin jump.  At least that’s what I thought.  So I watched that spot in the water for the next several seconds (while keeping one eye on the sidewalk so I didn’t trip on a crack and sprawl out on the concrete.)  And there it was again, a dolphin doing a nice easy jump, and a second later another one then the two of them together. They could not have been more than fifty feet off the seawall of the harbor.  It was a very cool site to add to a great run.  It has been several months since I’ve been able to run in shorts and a t-shirt.
Come on Spring!!
