The Real ART of Running

1st Place!

belleisle

Yesterday I got my first 1st place in a 10k.  It was a hot morning in Detroit at the “Escape to Belle Isle” run but I ran a decent race.  At 49:37 it was not my best 10k time of the season but it was good enough to lead the M55-59 field that day.  My division had 6 runners and the total race had 186 so not a huge group but I finished 9th out of the 186 so I am happy with the performance.  The only thing I wasn’t happy with was that fact that they were not giving age group awards. Oh well, I run for fun (and to complete).  So even though I don’t have a trophy or medal to show for the win, I still had the win.
